The four main insects you are likely to have on your home ore commercial premises are:
- ANTS- There are different types of ants that you may come across in your home or business and our technicians are qualified to identify and offer the best treatment for each species of ant. They can infest food items and therefore contaminate any food you have so it is best to get the problem sorted as soon as you identify it. We also offer treatment of flying ants which can cause a problem for you. Emergency call outs are available for Ant nest treatment.
- COCKROACHES- These usually appear in your home or business when already infested goods are bought into your premises. They usually require three or four treatments depending on level of infestation due to the egg cases that the young emerge from. The egg sacks are very protective and insecticide treatments will only effect them once they have hatched.
- FLIES- There are 4 common types of fly that you are likely to come across on your premises. These are:
- Fruit fly- Attracted to fruits and sugary foods as well as beer. If you find flies in your home around your kitchen it is likely to be the fruit fly or blue bottle fly.
- Cluster Fly- Will look to enter lofts and cavity walls to hibernate during Autumn and Winter. The eggs are lay in Earthworm colonies and will hatch from the inside of the worms. You will likely notice them on the frames of windows and doors.
- Blue Bottle- These flies are attracted to rubbish and decaying food sources. They like to feed on rotting foods and flesh as well as other animal carcasses. You are likely to find them around the bin storage areas on your premises.
- Mosquitoes- These flies like damp areas so can often be found in any garden or outdoor areas such as ponds and other areas where water gathers that are part of your premises. They do bite however this is rarely causes a problem but they are still known as a pest.
- WASPS- Can be a huge nuisance especially if they make it into your home or business. They will likely build nests in loft spaces and wall cavities and only require a small access point to begin building a nest that has between 3000 and 10000 wasps. Should you start noticing more wasps it is best to get the problem treated sooner rather than later as they tend to get more aggressive towards the end of their life cycle.
